What happened? Description:

The user added me as friend a few days prior to the incident. We exchanged a few greetings, before telling me that he has just won $310 worth of items from a gambling site and needed my help. I instantly assumed that this was a scam, and politely asked him for proof. He gave me the site link, and the site is: csgo rollers.com

The site looked totally legit and genuine, it was all really convincing. Then he sent me $20 worth of the credits on the site and told me that as proof, I could get whatever I wanted. When I tried this out, the site prompted me with a pop-up saying that I needed to deposit $15 worth of items before I can withdraw anything. My greedy mind ignored the screaming in my head to stop and proceeded to deposit $15 worth of items and another user, most likely the original user himself, sent me a trade offer disguised as a trade bot of the site. After depositing it, the site told me to deposit $20 worth of items instead of $15. Again, I complied. But when it again raised the amount to $25, I grew suspicious and approached the user himself and asked him directly. He then proceeded to unfriend and block me, effectively erasing his chat and any evidence to go along with what he'd done.

I added a few of his friends and discovered that I was not the only one that he had scammed.

As he has already removed me as a friend, I no longer have our chat to provide as evidence.​
