What happened? Description:

They sent me a friend request. I looked at their profile, and was kinda suspicious since he didn't have any profile comments, or a public inventory.
He wanted these items:

He initially offered to pay with PayPal, but I refused since I didn't trust him.
I asked him if he could pay with refined or keys, and he said yes, and provided me with a supposed screenshot.
I asked him if he could make his inventory public. He refused, stating "mate i give you the prof ok"
I noticed shortly after I said that he made his profile even more private, raising my suspicion even more. (I have a screenshot from before this)
Also, his last public backpack from backpack.tf has no keys or refined metal whatsoever.
I checked if I could send him a trade offer and verify the keys that way, but I couldn't since his inventory was private.
I asked him if he could send me a trade offer with the supposedly real keys. I also have keys, so he could have just added them, and therefore doesn't have the excuse of potentially losing them. (An honest person would've just made their inventory public in the first place...)
He says "if i give you my trade link mate sent your items first ok" (yet another red flag)
Finally I had enough and said, "Any last words before I block and report you?"
He quite rudely says, "f✿✿✿ your mom"

tl;dr Attempted either classic "two-step" trade scam, or PayPal chargeback/refund scam.​

I think it's fair to assume someone is trying to scam me if:
They refuse to make their inventory public, or send me a trade offer/request to prove their items actually exist and instead insist on their "screenshots" being real
Want me to send my items to them first

Only scammers are this stubborn about keeping their inventory private.
