    What happened? Description:
    I was playing TF2 when a friend messaged me. I had remembered him as being around 12 or 13 from a server I was an admin on, and he offered me $200 just to be "generous". He also sent a fake paypal image via discord, which I uploaded as well. I knew it was a scam, but I was in a call with some friends who told me to go along with it. The video below shows it all, but basically, he tried to get my original steam username and I stopped him there, where he showed me information about my account that I realized was fake. This was because the phone number was wrong and the email shown only said "*******************@g****.c**", which is generic as hell. He told me that the kid's account got hijacked, which I believe. I think that it isn't just a hijacking, but possibly some sort of "trade me all of your items" or "transfer me $x to get your account back". I just wanted to report it so others stay safe. It's convincing if you don't have faith in the phone authentication.​

    I'm going to have to mark this as invalid for a number of reasons: we do not accept Discord chat as evidence, we do not accept videos as evidence, the Steam that you do have is insufficient to prove any wrongdoing and, we do not tag for phishing.

    In future I recommend conducting all such discussions within Steam.
