    What happened? Description:
    He added me and claimed that he accidentally reported me for a duped item and he was worried I'd be "banned". He urged me to talk to an "admin" he linked and say I was falsely banned. After quickly scanning the supposed "admin" I'm like 99.99% sure whoever it was was intending to scam me and I did not add them. I'm even more convinced this person was trying to scam me because 2 of their friends are trade banned.​

    Full chat is provided. After I determined he was intending to scam me he just removed me because he knew I wasn't falling for it.​

    ya know you had the goods to make someone accept you
    but no one is gonna add someone who looks so much like a scamming alt
    if there was truly an instance of a possible ban or report I'm sure I would've been contacted via steam rep or backpack.tf

    @naturespirit The user lists other accounts they have - I suggest you contact them thru one of those and see if their account was compromised...wouldn't hurt to try.
    I'll review this again soon.

    Its very possible... and in fact pretty commonly happening with this type of event.
    Figured since you had contact it wouldn't hurt to try to make contact those other ways as listed on the users profile to see if that was the case.
    Would be rather helpful.

    Ok they need to submit a steam support ticket - once account is recovered they need to post HERE and on this other report

    since the account was involved in both to confirm and show proof from the ticket where Valve confirms they were compromised.
    I'll leave report open for 48hours then I will have no choice but to accept with a full tag.
    a CAUTION tag has been applied with reference from the other report as of now.
    Please advise them of that! Thanks!
