What happened? Description:

Random guy contacted me saying he wanted a sponsorship for his skin gambling website, and that he was giving out $100 on the spot for adding the website name to your steam name and desc. Followed through to the website, got the $100 in "coins", tried to withdraw and it said you need a $25 deposit, obviously trying to scam you out of items. Guy admitted shortly after.​

Provide Evidence:

As mentioned above, a random guy contacted me saying he wanted a sponsorship for his skin gambling website, and that he was giving out $100 on the spot for adding the website name to your steam name and desc. I followed through to the website, logged in legitimately through steam, got the $100 in "coins", tried to withdraw and it said you need a $25 deposit. This deposit was obviously trying to scam you out of items, and would not have let you withdraw from the site. Checking the website's source reveals that it's all obfuscated and uses preset messages.

When I confronted the guy in chat, he just went "sure" and took the "coins" back, no objections to my statements at all.

PS. Had him nicknamed as "!RANDO1" on Steam for a while, but realised I would need his name for evidence later, so removed it. Some of the screenshots have that name on, but obviously not the full chat log.​

I appreciate you might need the money, but this isn't the way to do it dude. You're scamming innocent people out of their hard earned money, it's not just.
