    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198308911018

    Victim profile: 76561198372674255

    What happened? Description:
I was friended by an account named Joe, he was requesting me to trade cs:go items with him, I had a look at his profile and found out there were similar people with the same name and the exact same profile pictures which got banned for scamming, his profile looked somewhat sketchy for a trader, the main thing which felt wrong was how his inventory was private, I assumed he would keep it open if he was a trader. He wanted 3 of my skins, he gave me a link in steam chat of a person who had the exact same name, and profile pic with a whole lot of expensive skins claiming that the inventory is his but I found it it wasn't his account and that he didn't have the skins, he is/was offering me a ★ Huntsman Knife | Slaughter Minimal wear for my AK-Aquamarine revenge, USP-S kill confirmed, and my Awp asiimov, which was a total profit for me. I took a look at his profile and as his "favorite guide" saying "How to avoid being scammed in CS:GO" I took a look at the guide and in the comments there were a few people who claimed to get scammed by "Joe" also stating that he is also in the same group.

We were talking about how we the trade was going to happen, but he stopped me and told me that before he's going to "trade" he would like to see the "patterns" on my skin, I had no idea what patterns are and I asked him if he meant the float, he denied and gave me a link to a random website telling me to sign in with steam to see the patterns, I then knew that he was scamming me, I came up with the excuse that the link is blocked in my country, he then sent me another link, I made another excuse not wanting to give my personal steam information to a random site. I told him to wait a while so I can get my "steam guard" which I had but just wanted to stall. Since I knew he was scamming me, I went down to his comments where many people had +repped him and reached out to one of the online ones.

I asked him why he had +repped him, he responded me by telling me that he got scammed by him, and that "he asks ppl to comment that before he wants you to aacept the trade then he unfriends you"
We then talked on discord voice chat and collected all the information through screenshots

I haven't yet spoken to Joe as he's been offline for a while, I just hoped he gets banned for scamming lots of people
