    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198315670242

    Victim profile: 76561198280060377

    What happened? Description:
So, I was friended by this person yesterday.

His profile is private, along with his inventory. This should be a red flag since scammers usually have private inventorys and profiles.

Knowing that he's a suspected scammer since he has a unconfirmed report, ( and he didn't leave a comment on my profile ) I accepted his request to see what method he would do and if he is a scammer.

I asked him why did he friend me, didn't respond.

15 mins pasts and he then responds saying that he added me for a trade. Since the item servers were down that day, he asked me if we could trade some other time. I thought the same and the next day ( Today ) rolls in.

I hit him with a message saying if he wants to trade again.

He then reply saying that he would like to.

He then asks about my unusual.

He offers 1 key more on my Bubbling Buckaroo's which is overpaying. ( The regular price is 8.5 keys )

I ask him to shoot me an offer.

    Then he says:

"Before I send the offer, can you tell me where you got your item from?"

I tell him that I got it from a friend of mine.

He then says that he wanted to know if my items were Duped or Hacked.

I, baffled at what he said, asked him why would it be duped or hacked in the first place and that it's an excuse for a scam attempt.

    He then unfriends me.

This sentence alone, shows you that he tried to scam me by asking me if my items were duped and that he was possibly going to pull a "Steam Admin Item Check" Method.

( Please also note, this is my first time that I actually reported a scammer instead of letting him loose. )
