    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198317756038

    Victim profile: 76561198342835736

    What happened? Description:
I posted my Unusual on Backpack.tf earlier on in the day, for 12 keys. Later on, I got a friend request from that person, and accepted, he told me he wanted to buy my Unusual for 15 keys. He also sent me a link to 'his' backpack.tf, however he was impersonating another person http://steamcommunity.com/id/joshpeck and the link to his inventory on his profile linked to this other profile. However the scammers inventory was private, which instantly brought up a red flag, and also the fact that his status was 'online' and when I clicked on the link to his backpack.tf the status was 'offline' on the real account. I knew that this was a scammer, however he continued to message me, saying that he would like to buy my unusual for 15 keys, but before he would, he needed to 'check' my items.
I took screenshots of the chat, his profile, and the profile of the real person that he was impersonating. I blocked him on steam, and reported him.

    Provide Evidence:
Gave me an offer that seemed too good to be true, then asked that he needed to check my items first, for the safety of the trade. The links on his profile were impersonating another person, and also the scammers backpack was private.

Thanks - do keep in mind that this user is already banned/tagged..there isn't any more we can do to this user. Should you come across a user like this again(check users out BEFORE you accept friend request) it is best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
