What happened? Description:

Me and this guy chatted in game about him buying my stat trak ak47 blue lam with really expensive stickers for $46. I said ok, even though I wanted $50. I added him and sent him my email via steam chat. Everything seemed to go fine. I got an email that said "Eric Vale" has sent me a gift of $46. I'm all like "cool" and when I look at my paypal, I see $0. I wait a little and he starts to spam me to send the ak. I say wait until the money goes through. Then he starts getting weird. Instead of waiting he starts spamming me. So I then call him, in which he proceeds to tell me that his father is calling paypal. And what do you know, it's the same guy pretending to be a dad without even attempting to make his voice deeper. He then ends the scam attempt by saying he is going to refund money that I never even had in the first place. Overall I thought this would be a quick and simple trade but turned out to be a scam, like usual. I forgot to mention, when I called him out for scamming, he didn't try to bring up evidence or maybe someone he has bought from before, he just kept telling me the email was enough evidence and I hadn't done my part yet. I also found out this was a scam when I read this ( https://www.paypal-community.com/t5...t-but-does-not-show-up-in-balance/td-p/886479 ) which is basically exactly what he was trying to do to me. I also let him know he can record the conversation if he would like and once he starting saying I scammed him, he didn't once say "I have video evidence" or anything, he just said he is refunding.​
