What happened? Description:

I will be using Canadian Dollars (CDN) for this report.


I got a comment on one of my CSGOLounge offers to trade my Gut Knife Tiger Tooth for a Gut Knife Fade. I saw he wanted to trade a gun for my knife, which I didn't ask for, so I ignored it originally. I looked at it after, and saw it was a StatTrak Factory New Hyper Beast! (M4A1-S) I went onto the marketplace to see it was over 200$! I looked at his profile, and didn't see any suspicious activity on steamRep. I clicked on his "Trade Offer Link", which led me to a trade offer link to another account. This account is set to private and had an identical name and profile picture. This account had a StatTrak M4A1-S WELL WORN, when he had a FACTORY NEW on the CSGOLounge offer and on his main acc . If someone wasn't paying attention or didn't have some sort of Steam Trading helper extension on their browser, they would fall for this scam and would lose a lot of money. At the time of writing this my knife was 95$ and the gun he was going to scam me with was 25$. I added his main account and told him that I knew he was scamming and was going to report him.
