What happened? Description:

It's a well known scam since it already happened to me in the past, but last time I didn't bother reporting them.
Basically the guy claims that he reported me from duplicated items and that I will get banned real soon if I don't add his partner as a friend. He sends me the profile of one guy which is supposed to work for valve https://steamcommunity.com/id/mrhoten ; but asks me to add him on discord, not on steam. But he sends the discord of his friend instead.
I did not keep going after that, since he asked me to add him on discord, because I think that steam rep only takes in consideration proofs inside of steam and not with other apps like discord.​

And the main reason why i message you its because the steam admin dude wants you to confirm that i accidentally reported you and you are not involve of those mistake report issue so that my report will not be process and your account will not be deleted permanently in steam

First, yes i did report him to steam, problem is they don't give possibility of giving screenshots so i doubt they will do anything about it

I don't know if this profile is the one of a real admin or not, but he didn't accept me.
What i think, is that it may be the profile of a real steam member, but as you can see in screenshots i sent, he asks me to add him on discord.
So the steam profile might be real, but the discord he asked me to add was someone else's and tried to make me believe it was the same person.
After i made the report here, i called him out on that and he just blocked me and deleted me of his friends.

I'll keep checking this thread to see if something happens.
Basically, the guy will have a bad rep on Steamrep.com; but from what I understood you guys are not affiliated with steam, so his account will still be able to scam people, the only thing we can do is warning people who will look for him on steamrep, am I right ?

Oh well if that was just a hijack it's not his fault, I mean he fell for some fishing website and lost his account for few days, but he did not intentionally do it, so if he got hijacked I guess you can lock this thread since he was not the bad guy

Well, if that can help you I will add him on steam and ask him if he got hacked, that way we will be sure

I added the guy already, but he did not accept my friend invite, probably because the scammer might have blocked me with his account.
I also cannot comment on his profile, I have no way of contacting him.

I tried to look for his friends, but his friendlist is private unfortunately.
I do not really care for what happens, since he got hacked he did not scam the people by himself, but his lack of awareness that led him to put his ID into a non-safe website did put in danger people who had nothing to do with all of this.
I will let you judge if the case should be closes&archived or if the report should be processed, I'm quite indifferent about the conclusion of this
