What happened? Description:

The user previously unknown to me, added me and asked to trade for my unusual hat. Had me login to a website bitskins.com to "show that my item was tradeable on the site." I traded the website's "bot" my item as if I was listing it for sale. The "bot" the scammer was using then traded me my item back. The scammer then asked to trade for one of my more valuable australium weapons aswell. They asked me to do the same thing with the "bot" that I did with my previous item. I proceeded to trade with the "bot" like I did with my unusual hat, expecting to receive the item back, but the return trade offer was cancelled immediately after the scammer sent it.

The info for the bot used in the scam has the following information:

I had no interaction with the bot outside of the trade offers.​

Please refer to screenshots of scammer conversation for the setup of the scam with the website and the "bot" from Bitskins website. Refer to trade offer history to see that the "bot" cancelled the return trade offer for the scattergun, unlike what happened with the 2 previous items from my inventory.​

i'll show you what i mean about listing it as marketable because it works differently here and so you'll know the site is safe and you can trust it later on ok
so first click the CUSTOM button at the Pricing section
and then choose a cheap item from your inventory to use for testing the site, any cheap item ok

so if you see your item at the Sales queue then you'll wait for the site to send you an offer automatically for the item you're listing as marketable
so if you see your item's name at the Sales queue then go check your steam trade offers, see if the site has sent any

because that indicates that the site has detected your item to list it as marketable
