    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198345015938

    Victim profile: 76561198305581821

    What happened? Description:
Okay, so I am new too trading. I got a huntsman knife fade factory new on opskins for 145 dollars a couple days prior to the incident. After doing some research, I realized that I might be able to make profit by selling the same skin for a slightly more expensive price. So I want to csgolounge and posted my item for real money.

A few hours later, A-GOD added me (not his name anymore because he changed it). I looked his profile, he seemed to be trusted and his inventory seemed legit. I did not know about the website steamrep until after, but it defiantly would have been helpful to know...

We had a conversation and we agreed on 160, he said he would go first. He sent me a "payment", but it did not show through paypal balance. I was sorta confused so I asked him why it wasn't showing and he explained that he takes 3-5 hours on average to be sent. I was very nervous so I told him and he told me to check my email. In my email, I saw what was labeled "invoice" and it said he had sent me 160 dollars. I now know that an invoice isn't what I thought and I feel very dumb that I was tricked by it. I looked at the email and it was indeed sent by the paypal website, but of course it was a lie.

I proceeded to trade my item. We +rep on each others account and stopped talking. Pretty soon later I got very suspicious and googled invoice scam and found a TON of videos on it. I linked him the video on steam and then he blocked me immediately.

Here are the images I took, it doesn't show the entire conversation sadly, but it defiantly shows the scam taking place. He said he recorded the entire thing but he was probably lying.
