What happened? Description:

Individual requested to buy 400 Keys in TF2 from me for BTC funds. They added me I'm assuming from my forum on backpack.tf where I advertised I was buying keys https://forums.backpack.tf/topic/77621-wtb-keys-187-eur-156-paypal/?tab=comments#comment-650986

Initially I explained how I wasn't interested in selling keys for BTC, but I got curious and pursued them. They explained to me how to use bitcoin, as I was unfamiliar with the terminology or workings of btc. Their intention was either originally to scam me using BTC, or only when the discovered I was unfamiliar with BTC

You may be familiar with tBTC, or Testnet Bitcoin. Testnet bitcoin is bitcoin used for testing purposes, and holds no value. The accused told me to set up a Bitcoin account using BitPay, and to make sure I had Testnet enabled. I did some research myself and discovered that tBTC had no value, but I decided to play along to try and see what their true intentions were.

The accused did indeed send me the agreed upon amount, however they sent it as tBTC, rendering it virtually worthless and therefore attempting to scam for 400 keys.

That is correct. I downloaded BitPay as they instructed me to, and opened a new wallet on BitPay using the instructions they told me I.E Single address and Testnet
I was unaware why, but I did research into testnet. I then decided to edge them on to see if they were attempting a scam.
