What happened? Description:

The accused(Magnus) was someone who sent me a friend invite months ago. I added him and forgot about it until he messaged me saying that he had accidentally reported me to Steam Support for "cheated" items and now had a "pending ban". Magnus sent me a link to a "Steam Assistant's" group chat to clear things up.
I joined the group chat and talked to the assistant( who was impersonating ChrisK). "ChrisK" said that if I proved my innocence, the "Valve Report Assistance Team" would cancel the ban. They then said that they would need my steam account info to check my items.I called out the scammer on their BS and was blocked(unfortunately, I was kicked from the group chat before I could take screenshots of the events in the last 2 sentences).

I wouldn't know whether or not they're different because this is the first time they've contacted me, we have no other means of communication, and I've reported them both to Valve already.
