    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198382386264

    Victim profile: 76561198212159289

    What happened? Description:
So I'd created a cashrep thread, this guys tells me to add him, says has some important thing to discuss. He talks a bit about how he'd like to trade and wouldn't mind overpaying, even by a lot since he won all this. He offers me a knife for all of my inventory, which I didn't price check that time because I had to go
, hee for some reason was very eager to go one with the trade. He also sent me a screenshot showing how he was able to send me a knife, but when I checked his inventory (It was still open for some reason) he didn't have a knife. We talked for a bit, then privated his inventory and then ahead to send me a link to the real profile of the person he was impersonating. The real profile had it mentioned that it was the only account owned by him. He goes forward to make some crazy offers, and then tells me that he couldn't check the updated price of his knife, he goes on to tell me I have to send him my keys first, and it doesn't matter since he is already overpaying. I tell him we can do this in just one trade, why make a mess, to which he replies that he'll get banned by valve and stuffs. He tell me to check his steamrep (I'd already checked it, was clear)

He then tells me to send him my inventory value and also asks me to check his knife value on some website which on visiting just loads indefinitely. When I tell him about it, he tells me to login, and I was clear that this a definitely and scam now (notice the url on steam login page) All evidence has been attached, including chat screenshots, screenshots of real and fake profiles, an his inventory before he privated it. A screenshot of the website's login page has also been attached.

    Website: https://cs-godetails.com/

On pc it just opens a popup window, not actually show the url, but on mobile it was visible. I understand if the mobile screenshot isn't considered valid but the pc version is still a scan...

@DentFuse are you reporting a phishing attempt by this user with that link?

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
