What happened? Description:

I *knew* this person, having traded with them once before. He seemed friendly and knew what he was doing, checked his steam profile and backpack and it seemed like he was fine. He contacted me again a few weeks later, asking initially if I had anything to trade, and then offering $50 for my whole backpack (worth about $15). Since the guy was quite friendly, and I had checked his rep etc. and he was all clear, I went through with it. This was my first time using paypal trading as well, so I was quite confused by the whole thing. He then told me he had the paypal money ready to send, so I sent my offer- which he then accepted, and disappeared. I sent him a bunch more messages, since it appeared he was online, until I eventually gave up- I also couldn't comment on his profile so I think he blocked me. I'm not too upset by this, as I had only lost about $15, but he's still a scammer.​
