What happened? Description:

He contacted me through CsgoLounge, responding to my offer of a butterfly knife crimson web field tested. He offered me a stat track m4a1-s hyper beast factory new and said to add them on steam. I added them and he told me to send him a trade offer. I made a trade offer and i offered him my butterfly knife crimson web field tested for his stat track m4a1-s hyper beast factory new, checking if it was in fact factory new because of all the scammers, it was factory new so i made the trade.

He then messaged me and said his "steam helper" said it wasn't enough and he wanted ads. We negotiated and he settled on that he wanted 2 cases i had lying around in my inventory. He told me he declined the first trade and to send a new offer.

I made a new trade offer and put in the same items again. there was only 1 m4a1-s hyper beast in his inventory so i clicked on it again to add it in the trade, this time, regretfully, not checking the item's condition. Turns out he traded his factory new one for a battle-scarred one with a different account in between me sending him the first and second offer to make it look like nothing had changed. He accepted the trade and i was happy to have my new hyper beast and i went to go look at it and then found out it was battle scarred and got scammed about $100 ​

1st screenshot: His initial offer from csgolounge. There are many offers like these where people have lower quality items in their inventory, which i check. but in this case he had the st m4a1-s hb fn in his inventory so i thought it was fine.

2 people report a guy for the same scam. guy still has the fac new in his invin meaning hes still scammin people. fine whatever dont do anything wait for more people to report him some more after they been scammed too... real nice...
