    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198391546909

    Victim profile: 76561198157279796

    What happened? Description:
I attempted to buy one of Tegridy King's two golden frying pans. Gridy did not want to go first as he was scammed in the past as well as he was very skeptical of paypal chargebacks, I assured him with me he would be safe as I would use f&f and I have a high reputation :

We ended up creating a mixed deal with steam giftcards (which I purchased on my Amex) and paypal afterwards.
The deal was 300$ to him in giftcards FIRST - this ensures they cant be charged back, bla bla, after the 300$ he would send me the Golden Frying Pan and I would send him the rest of the money via paypal.
So I sent him the 300$ then he toyed with me, and ended up just blocking and removing me.

Yes its dumb for me to fall for it, but the deal on the pan was good enough for me to risk 300$. He loses his steam reputation, his backpack.tf and maybe his trading privelages, and I MAYBE lose 300$ after I charge back the giftcard purchases.

I lost 300$ - which is like an expensive dinner, he lost his account. Count this as my charitable donation to steamrep in clearing the streets of a scammer. I am a public servant
