    What happened? Description:
    I got told to contact this "Valve employee" by some random guy. I have contacted him just to troll because I knew that it is a scam that they are trying to pull off. So this guy is impersonating a Valve employee and is trying to make me send some personal information from my Steam account. I couldn't go any further because he just went AFK. The pictures are pretty much self explanatory.​

    This is NOT the first user you should be reporting - You basically reported the other user that was brought into the scam event. You must make sure from now on you report the FIRST user you were contacted by and who started the scam..you only need to reference any other accounts involved and describe HOW they were involved in the description by including the FULL SR profile block along with details of how they were involved.
    Also include any and all FULL screenshots you have as evidence.
    Please do not resubmit a new report - this one will do for now.

    Make sure you've reported ALL users to valve and reported back that you did so.
    Again make sure in the future you report the FIRST user you were involved with NOT others in a backwards situation.
    Do not submit any new reports - we will hold here.

    The thing is that the first guy, who contacted me, was a guy on Discord. As far as I know, you do not accept any other chat logs except for Steam. Also, I have suspicions that it might just be the same guy from Discord, I don't think that 2 people are needed to operate in this scam. I am attaching the Discord chat logs with the very first guy and I have reported the user pretending to be a Valve employee to Valve.

    We do not review anything from discords - only steam chat so all of those are completely unacceptable.
    Also not what I asked for - just confirm you did report all the users to Valve or whoever was involved.
    Otherwise I'm going to watch the account to see what Valve does to it over the coming day as steam accounts are widely hijacked to do this with.

    Alright, what should/can I do to get this impersonator banned on steamrep? I mean, he is obviously is pretending to be a Valve employee and tries to get my personal information with an intent to commit fraud. His method looks pretty professional, apart from his English writing skills. I don't want anyone to get tricked by this obvious scammer.

    "Alright,Before i remove the report filed on your steam account could you please take a screenshot of your purchased history and contact information so that i can check and scan if you are purchasing legally on steam."

    I don't know what else he is trying to achieve by getting my contact information, which is email address, phone number two ending digits + my purchase history. As far as I understand, it is possible to recover the account through the support with such details.

    ok no matter anyway - the accused was community banned by Valve and no longer a threat - likely hijacked account being used for this.
    Archiving to prevent additional hardship upon the accused.
    In the future just report things like this to Valve.
