    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198396312572

    Victim profile: 76561198163659497

    What happened? Description:
Please note that SteamID64: 76561197972975414 (Hotted) is the middle man here and the one who sets up the trade I believe that he should be banned as well, his info is below:

    | steamname: Hotted
    | steam3ID: [U:1:12709686]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:0:6354843
    | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197972975414
    | customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/HottedFloatKnife
    | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197972975414

How the trade works (I must say that I was very impressed by this scam and many would've fallen for it):

    1. SteamID64: 76561197972975414 (Hotted) is the one who initially messages the victim saying he is very interested in your knife etc (the steam chat with him is below)

    2. He asks to talk to you on skype and to share screens so he can guide you through making lots of money on the website opskins.com

    3. Once you accept his call and share screens with him he directs you to opskins.com and tells you to press the sell button where it directs you to your inventory to pick the items that you want to sell.

    4. He tells you to select the item(s) he is trying to scam you for and to then press on "Deposit into OPSkins inventory"

    5. Then he tells you to refresh the page without pressing next (so nothing actually happens)

    6. Then he tells you to check your steam trade notifications where a fake opskins bot (SteamID64: 76561198396312572) has sent you an offer for the items

    7. If you accept this offer he will have taken your skins and you can do nothing about it

NOTE: After I declined the offer, I trolled him for a while where I legitimately deposited my knife onto opskins.com using a real bot, he then told me to withdraw my knife and tried the scam again from step 3

(I know there's not much evidence here as it was in a skype call, but this is a true step by step guide of what happened, if you have any questions please ask)

@Gcbgcbgcb Your supposed to report the user you were FIRST in contact with not the other way around. Just fyi!
Also NEVER discuss steam trading outside of steam chat!
