    Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
    Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198407262275

    Victim profile: 76561198066939208

    What happened? Description:
    A player banned on Steamrep (id:76561197963524613) added Victim on Steam, requesting to buy their unusual items. He stated he wanted the items verified by a Steam Moderator and would "pay the fees" associated with the service. The player requested a moment and then shortly after stating he found a third-party, the scammer, "CongTV" send a friend request.

    His profile shows a single image that is a screenshot showing "proof" of his position as a donour on SteamRep, an Admin, and Middleman on Fortress of Gamers. His "current game" status reads a program not affiliated as a Steam program aptly named, "[VALVE] System Database: Item Verifier".

    The original player that added the "Victim" has already been banned on SteamRep and Skial servers. The scammer, after adding the "Victim", created another chat window and added the first player, and proceeded to give a rundown about proper trade observation, taking recordings and transcribing the events.

    The scammer then sent a link asking both parties involved in the "trade" to send a trade offer and cancel after a few seconds. At this point, the "Victim" has continued to collect images of the chats while both other players continued to pressure them to submit a trade offer to them with the items.

    Attached files should include the Steam Chat windows of all the players involved and the scammer's profile. Not included is the SteamRep profile of Appleteck (ran out of space), but the id tracked through SteamRep leads to the ID:76561197963524613 and a banned profile.     @RubbrDukky You don't report this user you report the user you were FIRST in contact with - doing it backwards like this makes it hard to review - if that user was already banned/tagged - you should have just deleted them and ignored them since there is nothing else more we can do to them here.. this account is just a throw away and will be replaced in hours.

    Report them to Valve if you haven't already but please remember that - just avoid banned users - once tagged there isn't a thing more we can do.
