What happened? Description:

I added him from csgotraders.com and proceeded to negotiate a real-world trade with him, we agreed on a price, and then we both agreed that I would send the person 1/4 of the price for the knife, then he would send the knife and I would send the rest of the money, I then send the 30 euro's and was instantly removed as a friend and blocked.​

well, someone tried that with me before, in like 2013, I sent $40 for a knife, and they blocked me, then I opened a paypal resolution request, and the person with the knife had a fake screenshot of them sending me a knofe and paypal ruled in their favor

I have opened a resolution request from paypal, and they are currently giving me until the 19th May for the scammer to respond... so a long wait to be out of pocket, I know it's only 30 euro's but that's not the point really. I just hope I can get my money back and this scammer gets bad karma

Good afternoon. I am the person wich is accused of this incident. I have already been in contact with Lynk about what happened and told him my situation. we have resolved this issue between us and have made another agreement. but I just wanted to tell the admin of this forum my side of the story. after the payment when I proceeded to trade the item, at that moment I realized I have a 15-day trade ban when sending an item, I knew that Lynk would not want this because he mentioned before that he wants a knife today. that was one of the main reasons he was buying it with real money,( you can probably find this back in the chat screenshots provided by him ) after this I wanted to directly start with contacting link to inform him about this, but I could not find the chat on the steam app, after that, I could not find Lynk on my friendslist, I have seen the screenshot that the user was blocked, and I want to say that I did not intentionally block Lynk or even realize I did so. I immediately went on csgotraders.net to find his profile name to add him again. after that I explained the situation. ( if you want I can also provide screenshots of that ) I also agreed to immediately refund the money on PayPal, but there was already a dispute opened, which revoked the balance on my account, make me unable to refund the funds. in the dispute, I have stated that there was a rightful mistake and that Lynk his dispute/appeal was valid ( i will provide a screenshot of the dispute messages after shortly ) so at this stage, the paid amount of money will be refunded to Lynk his PayPal account by PayPal self. in addition, I have come to an agreement with Lynk to continue this trade after we explained each other's perspectives of the situation it gave some clarity and calmed things down. at this point, I have sent a trade offer with my knife to him, which is held for 15 days now. the agreement is that the price for the knife will be sent after the knife has been released from the trade hold. there are screenshots for everything I have stated so far if you need any of that, please contact me. So, again my apologies for these inconveniences, this is for Lynk and the forum admin that needs to spend time reading all this and trying to resolve this.

So as stated above, hydra has since unblocked me and we have had some discussions , it is clear to me that hydra was well aware that the original trade would be held for 15 days as he intentionally cropped that part out of the screenshot of the trade I believe this was in an attempt to scam me and was dishonest.

Until PayPal resolves the issue and I receive my money back, this report still stands.

As for the the agreement we have made, hydra has sent an offer for the knife which is being held for 15 days, and can still be cancelled until then. So until it is in my inventory, this report still stands.

@Hydra it is out of my hands now and it is up to the site admins to make a judgement on this case. I do appreciate you unblocking and attempting to resolve this issue but as it stands, I am still 30 euros out of pocket and you have still not yet sent me a refund on PayPal.

I do genuinely hope we can resolve this issue as soon as possible
