    Scam Report

    Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
    Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198425762409

    Victim profile: 76561198336365311

    What happened? Description:
    I messaged a reputable middleman (one of the admins on this site) and then another account with the same name added me, but with a different profile and a different steam rank. The screenshots I provide will have his original (fake) alias, and as I checked when I got home from work he has repeatedly changed his name today. He begins by telling me a bit on how to sell skins, as I have recently come by a very nice knife and don't know the first thing to trading it. He then insists I leave steam to go to a third party site but being the educated man I am, the site he advised me to go to was a phishing site that has only 2 days recorded being up. This website will be in the screenshots, DO NOT go to this link or any links he provided to me as I assure you they are phishing sites out to steal your steam login information. He then adds screenshots of me about to be "banned" and threatens that if I do not click the links and sign in to tell him the value of my knife I will have my steam account on steamREP banned. At this point, I begin taking screenshots but he quickly changes his name half way through me taking screenshots. I call him out on this, then block him immediately. He is currently on the site and obviously still changing his name trying to scam others. Please do something about this as soon as possible.

    To whom it may concern{to avoid this scam in the future}
    He created the fake steamREP ban page by inspecting the element on the HTML client side. You may change text, pictures, and even the color of text locally on your HTML page and this is how he almost fooled me into thinking this was a crooked admin on this site. Be aware, always be watching.

    Thank you for your time,

    Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

    This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
    These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!
