What happened? Description:

Part of a series of botted accounts spamming group discussions with link to non-steam gambling website. Claims to provide $50 free.​

Provide Evidence:

While checking out the steam group "NISLT," I stumbled upon the discussions board being filled with a bunch of botted accounts, all spamming the same link to a non-steam, possibly fake item gambling site sonic-skins.net

This user in particular is part of a series of spam bots that will go to random Steam groups, post the same things over and over again, then leave and go to another group. The proof they provide for receiving items is the following:

1; An imgur link showing the user receiving a Huntsman Knife from one of the site's bots

2; A YouTube video that has been taken down for violating the YouTube Terms of Service.​

I am a member of the affected group. Because of the infinitely many people who may be affected by this possible scam, I chose to list myself as the victim, as a way of protecting others' privacy. I just stumbled upon this as I was looking 'round my groups to find the likely botted spam in the discussions section. The same also appears to happen in at least one other group I am a member of.

Keep in mind that this is only one of possibly many botted accounts spamming the link. If this report is accepted, I shall attempt to hunt other accounts down, similar to that of the opskins bot scams.
