    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198798574743

    Victim profile: 76561198167436981

    What happened? Description:
NOTE: I have covered up SENSITIVE information regarding my PayPal account which I DO NOT wish to share with the public, I hope this is understood.

This one is a little long because the scammer didn't really know how to deal with the situation, which just led to the conversation being longer than It should have been.

I have been added by this guy who claims to want to buy my Unusual Taunt, which was '76 High Five from TF2., (NOTE: His inventory was set to PRIVATE.)
This person claims to be new to trading even though you can easily see that he is in several Steam groups that are specifically for trading.

This individual was interested in buying my Unusual Taunt through PayPal, so I became a bit sceptical, and thought of the "refund PayPal scam", where you trade someone the and item, he gives you the money and then he requests the money back from PayPal, so he gets the item and the money and I get nothing.

This person claims to have never heard of Marketplace.tf and Scrap.tf, so I explained them. He was up for it but I decided late in the conversation to sell this item using Opskins.com, because the fee there is lower than Marketplace.tf.. (NOTE: I have stated in the Steam chat that Opskins.com take an 8% fee. Opskins.com ACTUALLY take 5% of the money, my bad.. sorry.)

You can see in the Steam chat that he really wants to buy this item using PayPal because really close to the end he pushes the idea of us trading the item using PayPal even though I wanted to use Opskins.com.

After all of that this person said that he really has to go, but after checking he actually removed me from his friends list and blocked me on Steam.
All in all I think that this person IS NOT stupid, and or new, I just think that he was acting dumb and new in order to get me to trade using PayPal and not sites like Marketplace.tf and Opskins.com.

    Provide Evidence:
AGAIN, NOTE: I have covered up SENSITIVE information regarding my PayPal account which I DO NOT wish to share with the public, this information will NOT be displayed and instead be covered up with black bars which I have made using Photoshop.

    ..I hope this is understood.

    You regret what?
We don't remove reports - we also don't accept edited screenshots.
Kinda looks like you just made the report assuming the user would scam you and that isn't right.
Don't submit reports here in the future if you plan to edited evidence as it won't be reviewed like that.
