What happened? Description:

He added me on Steam and I already recognised the name. I told him that if he was interested in my items and just had that name for fun then that was ok but if he was trying to impersonate Darth Chicken Gaming, someone who does not even trade, then I would already know what he would be trying to do and shouldn't try. However, he ignores this and just continues with his impersonating.

He links me to the impersonated profile's inventory and backpack.tf profile which obviously isn't his own. I decide to just play along with it to try and get what evidence I can get so that I can report him and refrain from others actually getting scammed by this impersonator.

Just to put this out there, yes, I do have discord, no, my parents do not beat me lol and yes, my prt sc button does work. I just said these so that the impersonator wouldn't get me onto discord, where steamrep reports won't work. I also got a good guess when I said 'my inventory' after he asked what I saw. I wasn't actually following his instructions to go on that dodgy site so I didn't know what he thought he was guiding me into.

He did the same old 'check your items are marketable on this site' scam method and used a fake bot to send me a trade. He tried to get me onto voice calls so that it couldn't be recorded as easily, which I made sure to avoid.​

Provide Evidence:

I have attached images of the chatlog, impersonator's profile, the bot's offer and the bot's profile. Simply the fact that the link on the impersonator's profile leads to the impersonated user's profile should be enough to prove he is a scammer.​
