    Scam Report

Report Type: [Gambling] Fake gambling website
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198803341555

    Victim profile: 76561198099652839

    What happened? Description:
I was added out of the blue by XsXsXs today, and I usually don't accept random adds, but this guy had 900+ hours in TF2, so I thought maybe he was looking for a trade or something, so I accepted him.

Our conversation stated off nicely, but then he asked me to "add this site in nickname https://tf2forest.com" I checked the site out, and it was obviously a gambling site, which I'm not a fan of. He said he'd pay me by rigging the pot a couple times a week, which of course is shady, but I figured I gambling was stupid in the first place, so who cares.

I signed in, and timed with him to win a pot. I already knew at this point it was a scam, so I put in only 5 keys, as the minimum was $10, and that's slightly over. (screenshot #1)
I "won" and the items were added to "MY SITE INVENTORY" (screenshot #2 and #3) However, come to find out that you need to "win twice" to take the items back out. In addition, you need to have at least 10%, which, based on the average "pot" they were showing, is around $30-$40. There was no way I was putting anything else in, as it was an obvious scam.

At this point I tried to keep him talking, mainly to see if I could get anything out of him, but at the same time, I was going through the code of the site. As a professional software engineer, I will say the site is well polished and VERY convincing. The bots they have talking all pull usernames/pictures from real people, and they have a wide, but not unlimited, set of messages. In addition, messages from REAL users, including myself, actually show up in the chat. This allows your chats to be "real", as well as for them to respond to chats you send. Digging through the chat section of their code, I found that the majority of messages, as suspected have `data-steamid="{1}"` in the code, meaning they have no actual steamid. My messages, on the other hand, had the following: `data-steamid="76561198099652839"`. The only other user that actually had a steamid was "chad.", who I found out is this guy via his steamid that showed up in the code when he chatted: https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197975908437

The rest of the screenshots are our chat logs. Admittingly, I tried to "play it cool" with him in the middle, telling him I've done things like this before. I have not actually and was just trying to see if he'd fess up.
