    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Quick-switch trade scam or attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198878823700

    Victim profile: 76561198370510342

    What happened? Description:
This person /people have an entire system on steam where they will pose as a "moderator" and check your items if they are scammed items. Me in the moment was not in my best state and panic accepted the fake bot which is now changed in name as A1pha. Which coincidentally has the same name format as Cl4y.. I reply two days later and ask "hey wheres my items" and he said I had to buy 100$ worth of steam gift cards. I knew at that point they were a scammer and pointed it out. Where they threatened me and told me I would be banned of steam. I was so distraught that I was scared to say anything so I went along with their obvious scam. I then eventually blocked him and sent a report and still haven't seen anything done.

    Provide Evidence:
Here are some images of the chat logs and the trade that the person used. Cl4y was trade banned so he had made alts.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we will be unable to proceed with the report due to the following:
    • This is very very typical of a hijacked account situation, where the accused account is hijacked. We do not review such reports in an effort to prevent undue hardship to the accused down the road if they are in fact hijacked.
    • The accused was already trade banned which does support the notion that they themselves are indeed hijacked.
As such, this report will be Archived.

You are welcome to report the account to valve.
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accused's profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
