    Scam Report

Report Type: DO NOT SUBMIT TO STEAMREP - Phishing or suspicious link
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198891448730

    Victim profile: 76561198131785751

    What happened? Description:
Used a marketplace scam in which a high rep account left a comment saying to add them. They asked for me to check the "stats" of my item the website that they told me to check was most likely a phishing website, there was an error on the website but somehow they were able to get me to a false login. I don't really know how but they did, he asked me to go through marketplace.tf once they had access to my account through the false login they cancelled my first trade offer to deposit my item that was sent to a real marketplace bot. Then they resent that offer to a fake bot with the same name, its a very convoluted scam thats tricked many people, and marketplace.tf itself has a blog post about this scam that may go into more detail than i can. The person who convinced to actually make the trade was under a different name of Louis Vuitton.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
