    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198979638974

    Victim profile: 76561198310195218

    What happened? Description:
Kira (which friended me as niko) tried to pull the 'i reported you, sowwy, check wit steam admin and trade?' trick on me on the second day he friended me. I have the text chats that we had and the silly trick he tried to pull. I didn't go any further with his sad joke and called him out quickly. hopefully I don't need to be scammed out of my items to report a obvious scammer.

    Provide Evidence:
These are all the following images I gathered from the chat we had on steam. They told me to talk to some admin since he claims he accidentally reported my Steam account. I talked with him again now in a different account of his and he clearly tried to scam me with him hoping I end up giving him my TF2 items.

If you wonder what I mean about my friend at steam... I was messing with him so he would've hopefully just gave up but, my patience was low today.

The admin account is also hard me me to find now using the link he gave me. I don't know why.

    [10:11 PM]
    Marceline:

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.

Basically 'Your friend' is hijacked - don't report them here - report it to Valve so they can recover it for them.
