    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198982907706

    Victim profile: 76561198366985913

    What happened? Description:
The scammer sent me a random friend request even though we've never met once ingame.
They asked me how much I'm willing to sell my Australium Medi Gun and then directed me to a website to see the 'full stats of my item'.

Further detail will be shown in the evidence.

    Provide Evidence:
The first screenshot shows them asking about my Australium Medi Gun, they accepted my offer of 63 keys which was overpriced. However, they stated that they wanted to see the 'full stats' of my item.

They directed me to go to a certain website without directly sending a link and told me what I should do once I've 'logged in'.

I might've completely forgotten about the offer until they messaged me an hour later about it. Just by the first look on the website, there were clear red signs everywhere. I decided to lie to them that I've already created an account and they've asked for a link which gave me an idea to look for information.

    Extra Stuff
It was an obvious red flag when they directed me to a strange website that I've never seen before, so I decided to make a new steam account which I've used for everything shown. (excluding the chats of course)

There, it asked me to log into my steam account again which was odd since I was already logged into steam.
Another thing, the window-like steam popup wasn't even another window, it was inside the website itself. This can be seen from the video demonstrated below.

Even when I've copy and pasted the link on another tab, it doesn't even display its html.

With all the red flags, I decided not to 'log in' yet. Though I did decide to further look into the website and find out when the domain was created.
    Which was 4 days ago?

Nevertheless, I've decided to log into the website.

How strange, the website asked for a steam guard code even though I didn't use a mobile authenticator for that steam account. Obviously, I had to ask the trader why's that.
Unfriended me right after I asked the question.

I've looked at one of your guidelines and saw something about verifying the suspect's SteamID. Just in case, I've even recorded to prove that all the chatlogs are in fact from them.

I also realized that the images are ridiculously large in comparison to the text, sorry about that.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.

As noted the user sent you a phishing link - therefore falls within policy above.
All of your screenshots are also not acceptable nor is the video...we do not review evidence that isn't hosted HERE to the report and we are unable to review videos so they are not acceptable.
    Just FYI from now on.
