What happened? Description:

I have posted in a Steam forum dedicated to Group Buys:

The accused sent me a friend request on Steam without posting in my thread first. I have checked their profile on SteamRep and SteamTrades. Since I have recognized their name from before, and that I have traded with him successfully in the past, I have added them to ask what this was about, thinking that this might be about my thread.

The accused was acting strange.

I noticed he did not mention the name of the game. I have tried to make it clear that we were trading "Ultimate Fishing Simulator" for 1€ Steam Wallet. So I linked to the thread, and the name is clearly visible in the title of the link.

Then I sent a TF2 item: "Nutcracker Mk.II Knife" with the condition "Civilian Grade Knife (Battle Scarred)" so that I could purchase it from them for the price agreed upon, at this URL:

I purchased the item. Then the accused acknowledged the purchase and printed a Steam key for a game which was not agreed upon (and for a game which I already own). I pointed out the mistake. The accused stopped acting strange, and did not offer any mean to correct their mistake.

I stopped bothering answering them, because it is clear that it was a scam, and that I would only waste more time, or get scammed for more if we had continued chatting.​
