    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561199062416585

    Victim profile: 76561198940717365

    What happened? Description:
This user is impersonating the ACTUAL used hat salesman, https://steamcommunity.com/id/UsedHat He added me and then began a presumed attempt to scam me out of my unusual Taunt: Deep Fried Desire. While the attempt to scam I cannot confirm, what I can confirm is he promptly got mad at me, called me stupid and then proceeded to claim he could delete my account if I didn't comply with him. When I debunked his deletion images, he doubled down on impersonation by claiming to be a reddit administrator named Alias, linking to the real Alias' profile and claiming it to be his and saying he would have me banned on Reddit and steamrep, which I also debunked and he just flung insults at me and, in the way I interpreted it, admitted to scamming

    Provide Evidence:
Screenshot 1: He messages me seeking a trade for my unusual deep fried desire taunt, and asks if I have a c/o (current offer) for it then clarifies what c/o means, when I tell him I know what it means, he repeats it and I get confused. He later cites this exchange in his many insults
Screenshot 2: he starts insulting me and asking if it's my first time trading
Screenshot 3: He posts a link to my own account, presumably to try and threaten me somehow? I don't really know what he thought would happen
Screenshot 4: He claims to have reported my account and shows two totally different screenshots that both claim he is deleting my account
Screenshot 5: I debunk his fake deletion and then he claims he will get me banned on SteamRep and Reddit, presumably r/tf2. It is then he posts a link to the account of a reddit admin and claims it is in fact, his alternate account
Screenshot 6: He continues the story that Alias here is his alternate account, insults me more, then simultaneously claims he has no money to get TF2 items and yet has one of the top backpacks in the game, this is what I perceive as admitting to scamming
Screenshot 7: The profile of the admin he claims to be
Screenshot 8: I click on the "View profile" button
    Screenshot 9: The scammer's profile
Screenshot 10: The ACTUAL Used Hat Salesman's profile

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep! Threats are also against policy to take reports on but this is highly likely from a hijacked account anyway so report them to Valve.

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
