    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561199062445319

    Victim profile: 76561198093932559

    What happened? Description:
On March 10, 2021, a user impersonating lemonJUICE (as I-emonJUICE, capital i) friended me on Steam. I did a cursory review of their profile, immediately being suspicious of their private inventory but confused by their level of 36. However, I was fooled by a link to the real lemonJUICE's backpack.tf reputation on the impersonator's profile, failing to inspect it further and realize the discrepancies between the two, most notably the real lemonJUICE's level of 60. Trusting them with caution at this point, I accepted the impostor's friend request.

The next day, they messaged me asking if I would accept $35 in cash for my Orbiting Fire Prussian Pickelhaube, to which I was hesitant at first but eventually agreed, asking to receive the payment in marketplace.tf gift cards. I sent them the unusual and waited for their response, to which they replied that they could not give the proper amount in gift cards and asked me to give more of my items for a total of $50 in cash. I declined and said I would accept Paypal instead.

They then said that they were unable to transfer a cash value of less than $150 due to alleged "account limitations" from transferring from a personal to a business account, and suggested that I use mannco.store to buy $115 worth of keys and even out the trade, to which I foolishly agreed. After buying 56 keys and making said transaction, they requested another 44 so that they could "pay off another trade in pure" and promised to reimburse me with an extra $10 even if I couldn't afford it all. I accepted the deal again and bought another 41 with the last of my bank account, totaling about $200 worth of keys to which I would supposedly receive $245 back, with the $35 from the unusual and the extra $10. After giving them my unusual and 97 keys in total, they revealed that they were an impostor and cut off communication with me. I immediately took screenshots of the full chat log for proof, then unfriended and blocked them out of anger.

Thanks - this user is already banned/tagged - nothing more we can do to them.
Should you come across a user like this again upon checking them when you accept as friends, its best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
Due to the amount of offenses already listed on this users profile, we won't be listing any thing more.
Report will be archived for future reference.
