What happened? Description:

"Shan" is who I will refer to as the person I am accusing of trying to scam me. I am playing a game of Deathmatch in CSGO in the same server as Shan when he adds me. He says he saw my knife and would like to buy it. When I decline, he starts talking about an opportunity for me to make money by buying an item off the Steam Market. I play along, trying to see what kind of scam he is conducting. He says that this item (https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/570/Auspicious Glacier of Eldritch) is very valuable since it is the only item in existence and that he can make hundreds of dollars by selling it on a third-party site. He can't buy it himself because he is market banned for a few days. However, I am 99% sure this is another one of his accounts selling the item. How I know this is because he says he will only pay me once he sees the item in my inventory, but before he pays me cash. Why wouldn't he either just pay beforehand or after the trade is done?​
