    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561199104315271

    Victim profile: 76561198073894911

    What happened? Description:
User approached me and a close friend claiming to have been defrauded by someone impersonating me. He requested to meet us by using old screenshots and posting a copy pasted message. After adding him he went on to say that he "paid" a group of people to "bring harsh action against my account" and that steam moderators are now involved. The user then posted a fake message that came from "steam support" requesting it be handled outside of steam in discord. I then informed him that I've been a high profile trader in the past, and would pass along this scam to the trade groups I'm in. Along with reporting it to them, I'm also reporting it here too just in case anyone else runs into this person.

    Edward:
well, i posted an item worth $603 on market and you have the same profile as the buyer and i didnt received money from him and i accidentally massive report your account for doing illegal purchase on me instead of someone else and I even paid a group to massively report your account >_< I am worried that it will lead to any problems or any possible suspensions

    [4:15 AM]
    Dr. Righteous:
    excuse me?
    what item?

    [4:17 AM]
    Edward:
    karambit knife
    a csgo item

    [4:17 AM]
    Dr. Righteous:
    oh
    i dont trade csgo items
you got the steam id of the person who actually bought it?
any reason you added my friend?

    [4:18 AM]
    Edward:
I got this notice so i thought I really needed to reach out and give you a heads up, so that we could avoid the possible suspension, i feel terrible for reporting the wrong guy that didnt do any harm to me, thats why i am telling you this cause it would be my responsibility if those reports will go through and lead to permanent suspensions.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!
This was clearly noted to you BEFORE You sent to submit the report - please do not ignore our policies/notifications that are there to read before submission. This is all very common and the threats also would be against policy - report them to Valve.

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
