    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Steam Wallet fraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561199106143680

    Victim profile: 76561198829094257

    What happened? Description:
I received a comment on my profile from a user nammed Moss (spelled with emojis) saying that they were interested in my unusual war paint, and they sent me a friends request. After accepting it we began to discuss pricing and payment and I said I would sell it for around $60-$65. When they asked me how I wanted to pay I said payment in keys was fine, but he said that since he doesn't trade, payment through something like steam money would be better. He then asked me "do you have other items that you listed on the market ?like expensive items ?" to which I replied with how I had an australium scattergun, which even though I was thinking on keeping it I would be willing to sell it too. He then said that there was a problem on how he couldn't send over a steam gift card that was $60 and the only option was a $200 steam gift card option. After arguing with him saying how there's a 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 dollar gift card options right on the front page of the steam store, he then said how since we were in different countries, the only option was $200. (on his profile it said he was from Canada, so I believed him. And looking back now, I should've seen how much of an idiot I am) He said that since he could only do a $200 gift card he said that i could also sell him my scattergun aswell to make the price fair. I thought this was more than fair since the price of the unusual war paint and scattergun would equal about $150. After sending him the trade offers of the unusual war paint and the scattergun, in exchange for him sending me the $200 gift card gift, it seemed he almost immedietly made his account private, unfriended me, and removed his comment from my profile. However as of typing this now, his profile is public again. Even though i also reported his steam account to Valve themselves, I'm not sure if they would do anhting about it. And even though I know I won't get my stuff back, I still just want to alert others of this scammer. (Note: for the image showing the trade history, the trades that have the user name "Moss" in emoji is the scammer, the other trades are unrelated and aren't by scammers as far as I know)
