    Scam Report

Report Type: [Trade Offer Fraud] Using Trade Offer URL fraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561199400990013

    Victim profile: 76561198116079928

    What happened? Description:
I was in a CS2 match when halfway through, My account DP disappeared and I received a Steam message from a person impersonating a Valve fraud department employee saying that my account had been banned and under investigation for multiple IP addresses. And was urgent to get this investigation underway. I do not know this person and had no clue how this person got into my buddy list and appeared right under my DP but acted as an authentic admin while I was in a match.
With the game ongoing and this person acting as an admin kept talking, I checked my account and sure enough my DP was set to a "?" and my Bios had something like Vac Ban alert and I broke the Terms and Conditions with a link linking to the Steam agreement. With all these in place, I was a bit skeptical but since it was happening so fast, I followed along with what the "admin" said and they sent a trade offer to safeguard my items which I dumbly accepted.

After I accepted the "admin" trade, the "admin" said that the investigation would start and then MIA with no response. I finished my game and started to double-check the facts as I was still suspicious of this and turns out it was a scam and traded to someone with no name. I checked the trade history and it had a trade history of all my items to someone with no name. So I dug deeper and found the person that offered the trade offer. I went to Reddit for more information and they sent me here to make a report.

I will post photos of the message that impersonated a Valve employee and the trade offer as well.

    Provide Evidence:
I had a friend in my friend list who invited me to play a game of CS2 as they were 1 man short but to use a link similar to Faceit though it's not Faceit. I checked the website's credibility and it was verified and authenticated by Steam so I tried to log in to it, I got region lock as it was not based in my region "yet" so I gave up entering and changed my password afterward.

About 2 days later, I was in a CS2 match when halfway through, My account DP disappeared and I received a Steam message from a person impersonating a Valve fraud department employee saying that my account had been banned and under investigation for multiple IP addresses.
