    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [Other] Other game items

    Accused profile: 76561199442233297

    Victim profile: 76561198042819159

    What happened? Description:
Note:Steam support is aware of what happened I just want to get word out to more people.

I was contacted about a possible fraudulent activity they said “Your account has been temporarily restricted due to an investigation into your account, due to suspected fraudulent activity on your part.” However they then told me this “Dear user, we have received a request that the user with whom you had a trade is involved in fraud and theft.” I have a photo of that part of the conversation. Additionally I have the whole conversation saved in screenshots on my phone. One of the photos says it is too large to upload but the others should be fine. I tried to file a report before but the window timed out.

The individual may have used two accounts but I think it may have been just one. I have pictures to show they changed their names.

In short I was to be investigated because from what I gather someone I traded with was suspected of fraudulent activity. The person pretended to be a fraud officer. They got me to send some items to a cloud storage.

Do I know them? Not at all I have never seen their name before on Steam.

First off you reported the WRONG user however that user account and this one reported are likely just used for hijacking accounts with this method so will invalidate it per policy knowing this is common.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!
This was clearly noted to you BEFORE You sent to submit the report - please do not ignore our policies/notifications that are there to read before submission.

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
