    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] Other cash fraud (webmoney, bitcoin, etc)
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561199544384860

    Victim profile: 76561198332025779

    What happened? Description:
Yesterday, the 10th of December I got scammed on 2 Items of Team Fortress 2 worth around $360.
I had listings on Backpack.tf, this is where the scammer got information about me.
They added me, profile was very illegitimate, but I thought I would go along with it for now.
They said they were interested in my items, and that they were paying in BTC up front, which sounded pretty shady, but if I get the money, then I could not care less.
He offered me a reasonable amount, less than what I originally listed the items for, making it seem like he was a legit trader.
As I was in a very bad situation to trade right now, because I was traveling with train, having to deal with platform changes and connection problems, I was stressed a bit and was not able to fully research the means of his payment.
During this conversation we negotiated a bit, him saying he will quicksell my items then on a Chinese market, which I could not care less what would happen to my items afterwards.
I know very little about crypto, which was probably my biggest mistake about this all.
He said that I shall give him an address of a BTC wallet, so I installed one of his suggestions from the play store, 'Exodus'.
I quickly set up the app and gave him the address of the wallet.
He then sent me the agreed money and after a while it was shown on the wallet.
The only concern I had was it saying 'recieving...', or in other words it being still pending.
I did not trade my first item yet because I had connection issues, but after reading that it can take up to one hour for the BTC to get to me and that transactions could not be reversed.
I traded the first item around 10 min later.
He then said while he is at it he will check some margin on my other item, saying he could do $180, was a bit too low for me so I made him my cheapest offer, which he then later accepted for $198.
As time was flying by I was a bit worried about the transaction still being pending, but my balance showed up on exodus, so I thought it was all good.
Around an hour later I 'recieved' the other money, traded him the other item and bam, transactions cancelled, money never received, items traded away.
Was totally my mistake on not realising a pending transaction can be cancelled.
I did only screenshot the first pending transaction of $177.96, the second is gone cuz I uninstalled the app afterwards and now it does not show them up anymore.
Screenshots of complete chat history, his profile and the one pending transaction are included.

    Provide Evidence:
This the initial agreement, said he'll pay $175 in BTC.

This is the screenshot of the pending transaction and history of my BTC address with nothing there.

Here is the screenshot of his profile, don't know how I'm supposed to show it after clicking on him on chat or trade history.

So let me get this straight - you didn't get anything yet in payment when that should be processed first and still traded the user anyway? Not once but twice?

Here is the rest of the chat history.
I thought I would receive the payment, in the app there it even said 'recieving' and it showed up on my balance, even after an hour. He convinced me though that it was due to network overload and in the moment of action I could not find anything related to a pending payment getting cancelled. He exactly knew that I had no clue and I don't think it was his first time scamming someone.

Provide the BTC address you gave the user in the chat here along with a full screenshot PC only... showing the history on that number.

Open up your trade inventory history thru web browser, hover over users name with mouse cursor so it shows up their steam ID url at the bottom of the page - full screenshot again thru PC only so this works as intended.

This is as good as I can do, as I said already, I don't have access to a PC right now. Recorded a vid of me scrolling to my trade history and clicking on his profile where you can clearly see his steam ID.
If you know another way of showing it on mobile then let me know.

All evidence must be hosted to the report - but if you must wait to access a PC then do so. Will hold report open till early next week for now.

Hey there, it's me again. I've been researching a bit on my own, I know that it's all my fault and my own stupidity, but nonetheless it was too much money to not do something.
Both items have appeared on someone's bot account so I asked the owner where he got it from.
He bought it on mannco.store from a guy whose profile he sent me.
In my conversation with the scammer I even told him about that side.
There is an entry on the backpack of the guy who sold the hats on mannco where he bought 150 keys from mannco and a guy selling keys for crypto on the same day me getting scammed.
Only possibility is it being his alt.
Is there a possibility to send proof of it to also flag his alt?

If items move from another account to a diff account that isn't solid proof that it is someone elses account, so no you can't post to say that it is.
At this point you are only reporting the account you were involved with.
