    Scam Report

Report Type: [Other] Any other fraudulent behavior
Virtual item type involved: [None] No items

    Accused profile: 76565298180237925

    Victim profile: 76561197994799155

    What happened? Description:
They left a comment on my profile asking if I was still interested in a game key (Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville), a rare delisted one. I added them and they alleged they did not know what they wanted for it. After directing them to my list of keys available, they picked two games: one delisted game and a listed one that can go relatively cheaply, saying they only had one key to give in return. I researched the values and said the two delisted games would be a fair trade. Given that their profile is barren, they have no rep, and were already giving me bad vibes, I told them that they would have to post their key before me, to prove they are not a scammer. They refused, despite all the public proof of my fair trades, saying that because my single key was for two games and they already had one, it might not work, which I assured them it would as I had redeemed a similar key myself before. Over the next three hours we would talk back and fourth, me defending my fairness and insisting they send their first, and them refusing. By the end they had shared an unconfirmable key supposedly via G2A, tried to manipulate me by saying they are also a girl, then seeming to immediately confirm that was a lie, and my own research seemed to discover their profile picture was found on google with a mismatched name. After three hours of holding my ground, I chose to believe that only a scammer would be this persistent, underhanded and dishonest, and refused the trade. And now I am here, hoping to spread the word that this person is untrustworthy.
