Indeed added me and asked me if I can use my SR Middleman tag as way to help them scam someone who scammed Indeed. Mud would be "buying" the scammed hat and I would take the hat from the scammer and give it back to Indeed. Although Indeed isn't directly scamming he is the master mind behind it all.

I was approached by the same two people earlier today, asking for the exact same thing.

The person who has the hat is:

Do they have any proof of Dave_Hester scamming them? If so, there's a difference between "vigilante justice" and asking an official SR Middleman to help recover an item that was scammed. Vigilante would be if they on their own accord went and scammed a scammer. We shouldn't punish people if they ask us to help them recover an item for them- at least they are asking us and not taking the matters into their own hands.

Since this involved a TF2OP admin/middleman, I am referring this case back to TF2OP for them to decide whether or not to apply their tags. If they decide to do so, then Indeed & Mud will need to appeal their tags there. Marking as Archived and moving it into the archived reports so we have the documentation if TF2OP needs it.
