What happened? Description:

The accused in question randomly added me a few days after I bought my knife recently, a well-worn flip knife case hardened. He offered me his stattrak karambit scorched battle scarred, a knife that costs at least 50 dollars more than mine and he would be selling me at a loss. The knife in question is on his storage account:

He asked me if I could trade the knife to a friend, or have it put in my OPskins.com inventory to verify it was not duped or a glitch item. This was very blatantly an item verification scam to me, which I have been burned by in the past over a 50 key TF2 unusual. I told him i was not willing to trade it to a friend to verify nor add it to my OPskins.com inventory, as that would require me trading it to a friend to then sell back to me via the OPskins.com web service. I also provided him with a link to my csgo.exchange inventory, which can reliably prove my item was not duped by searching for other knives of my type and skin and matching float values.

After being presented with this proof, he went on to continue insisting we either contact a valve employee or I just go forward with the OPSkins.com trade. In fact, when I showed him articles on valve's site showing that valve admins no longer help or involve themselves with duplicated items from stolen accounts or inventories, he told me he did not trust the articles directly from the steam forum.

Regardless, the fact that he has 15 accounts by searching the steam community for him (including one that looks like this could have also been an attempt at a OPSkins bot impersonation, URL http://steamcommunity.com/search/users/#text=Ekton CSGOCASINO.net and screenshot will be included), was selling to me at a considerable loss, and was asking me to verify my items reguardless of the evidence I provided makes me think that he is a potential scammer.

I apologize if my chat proof is not the entirety of our conversations, I can pull chat logs from my phone if further proof is needed.​

Console-: and as I said, I can add every owner of the knife including the unboxer and ask if their account was hijacked and if a duplicate was made. The search already proves it is not duped, but this would provide overwhelming evidence it is clean.
Console-: Also, from my experience in trading the only items that are usually considered bad if duped are Team Fortress 2 items, usually Unusual hats
