    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198094285493

    Victim profile: 76561198202040597

    What happened? Description:
He was imposing as one of my best friends and his friend used "my friend" (him) as a middle man, and I had traded my items to "my friend" which actually was ravena. After the trade went through, him and his friend blocked me. RIP $200 in skins and my CS:GO Knife... I've taken initiative and have reported them on steam and have submitted a ticket to Steam Support. Hoping to get some positive feedback regarding a trade ban and my items to be refunded...

@GlobalEliteSpray Need to explain this better and layout user info.
Who was impersonated? SR profile block - who was impersonating ....also SR profile block.
I need a SR profile block for each account involved in this whole thing and label them as who is who please.

So yesterday I got scammed of my CS:GO items on Steam. Yesterday I received a message from a Steam User by the name of Rysheed (profile link down below). He asked me if I wanted to trade my knife for his and I said sure. By the way he started the conversation, I already knew he was a scammer, and so I decided to play around with him a little bit to waste his time (which ended up not being the smartest decision…). He was attempting to do the “middleman” scam on me. I’ve heard of this scam before, but I didn’t know how it entirely worked, and I didn’t expect the scam to go as far as it did… He asked me if I had anyone on my friends list that I would like to use as a middleman. Trying to just pretend to go along with what he was saying, I told him to use my best friend (in real life) as the middleman. Instantly after, he sends me a link to what I thought was my friends’ Steam profile. It looked absolutely identical. The same profile picture, name, profile layout, everything. At this point I fell for the scam, which made me think it was actually my friend. I didn’t know they could create or generate a profile identical to someone else’s in literally a matter of seconds. He added who I thought was “my friend” to a group chat with me, the scammer, and “my friend” which I now realize was an imposter. The entire time, I thought I was talking to my best friend when it was actually someone completely different. I had actually thought that since it was my real friend, he might actually be a legitimate trader. So I traded “my friend” my items (located down below in full description). After trading who I thought was my friend most of the good items in my inventory. I was suddenly kicked from the group chat, and the person who I thought was my best friend went “Offline”, as well as the scammer. I was confused and started to panic. I tried messaging my friend and no messages would go through… Thinking my friend was just playing a joke on me, I texted my friend through my phone asking him, “What’s going on?” He responded saying that he doesn’t know what I’m talking about. I told him, “Okay, I get it, it’s a prank. Now give me my skins back.” He responded again with “What skins?? I’m not even on Steam right now.” At this point I freaked out… I realized what had just happened and how stupid I was to fall for such a simple yet deceiving trick. I checked both profiles of both the scammer and the imposter and they had both blocked me. I have proof with screenshots of chat logs, trade history, and the scammers' names, and almost everything I could possibly think of taking down.
