    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561197963647100

    Victim profile: 76561198034689546

    What happened? Description:
User claims to be with Valve and TF2Outpost on their account. They claim to check if items are duped through a special utility through their fake connections, and that you need to send a trade offer to another profile with your items to check them(I'll link that account below). Although he said he didn't need the items in order to check them, he said he still needed them to be sent in a trade to check but that he would decline the request. well somehow now my item is magically missing anyway, hmm i wonder how.

So to start this off the initial interaction was started by another guy (I'll link that account below too) who said he wanted to trade for my strange shotgun and that I needed to friend this guy first to check the item. After "checking" the relatively low value item (basically i traded him the strange shotgun to check it), he said he needed two of my most valuable items to further "check" the initial trade item. When called out on his scam he claimed that it will ban my account if I back out. I've screenshotted the full chat logs with this guy and most of the chat log with the initial trader. sorry if I've described this poorly but I think the chat logs will give you a good idea. I don't have a screenshot of the trade, wish i thought of it before i closed the window but this should be sufficient evidence.

    The initial "trader"

@SpiritSlayer You don't report the other user - you always report the user you were FIRST in contact with...which is the Curiosity trader.
I need the Trade offer URL they gave you pasted to the report here so I can link the checking items verifying to it asap please.

Wasn't sure who i should I report exactly since all three accounts were involved, sorry about that and noted for future reference.

Curiosity never actually sent me a trade, the trade link was sent from Justin to trade to a different account, shown in the group chat i screenshot https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=465558338&token=qmucLg4-
Curiosity did direct me to justin however and played along with the scam and repeatedly messaged me to trade the items and follow his instructions. Thanks for the help.
