What happened? Description:

This is my first report so I'm hoping I've set everything up right - basically someone on my friends list who I haven't spoken to in a WHILE randomly messaged me and tried to pull the ol' "your items are duplicated send them to me to be verified ))))" trick. I didn't fall for it, instead I just screwed with him and wasted his time. Since he posted a Steam "guide" showing him and a number of others as "Community Admins" with edited Steam Rep pages made to look like they're admins, I realized later I should probably report him to actual Steam Rep so anyone looking him up will immediately see this. Also, due to this suddenly happening out of the blue, I'm assuming this account was probably hijacked, but I'm not sure. He also doesn't specifically mention which items are "duped" but the only expensive items I have are in TF2.

UPDATE:
After checking the guide again, it's been taken down sometime between the conversation happened, and when I posted this report. However, by using the "back" button on the Steam app itself, I was able to get back to the pre-loaded page with the guide. It was a long guide and I think it was too late for an achive link, so I tried to take pictures of all of it. The guy who tried to scam me is just one of a number of people in this "guide", so hopefully it helps you nail some other scammers as well!

There's still more! Though this time I'll just leave them as attachments because that kinda took up a ton of space.

I did provide a link in the first post, but as I mentioned in the replies, it got taken down pretty quickly. Hitting the "back" button on Steam a few times I was able to see it again as if it wasn't down, so I'm just assuming it was already loaded from earlier. As mentioned, it was probably too late for an archive link, so I screenshotted everything I could from the guide.

UPDATE: The profile icon and name has changed entirely to go with the "Item Database" scam, which seems like more reason for me to believe the account was hijacked. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198398513973
