What happened? Description:

This person that I have in question (who I will refer to as Kyle judging off of his facebook/twitter) was someone who I added back on steam after they commented on my profile asking to trade. After I added him, he immediately added me back to trade my skins that I recently purchased (roughly $55 worth of cs:go skins) for a knife that he had. We soon hopped onto a voice call and talked there about most things. Kyle claimed that if I wanted to bypass a trade restriction that was on my items because they were from cs:go, I would have to convert them to dota 2 items first. He told me to do so on a website called tradeit.gg (this is not where the scam actually occured), and I replaced my cs:go items for dota 2 items. After I did this, Kyle claimed that I would have to put up my skins on bitskins to prove that they were "legitimately acquired". I put up one offer on bitskins for one of the dota 2 items that was worth less than a dollar for $9000, and after I sent this trade to a legitimate bot, he "verified that my items were legit" and told me to take them down from the site, and I got my items back. Both the sending and recieving trade were made with user "BitSkins #2626 [669]", who is a real bitskins bot.

This is where the actual scam begins. I then put up my other items that were much more valuable for the same price so that they could be "verified", and instead of a bot sending me the offer, he sent me an offer on one of his accounts that was impersonating a bot. This account was "BitSkins #0007 [657]". Acting hastily, I sent my items to the bot before realizing that the account wasn't even in the bitskins bot group. After that, he tried assuring me that I could get my items back by depositing another $100 into tradeit.gg or something along those lines (obviously I did not go this far).​
