    I just got scammed by this impersonator. He had a misleading steam rep link on his profile page and I lost 2 unusuals as a result. I feel that impersonators should be banned by valve. Would there be a way to restore my items?

    He is already marked. An admin will add notes about this case. You should always double-check you are trading with the real one.
    You can send a ticket to steam support, but i think they will not restore it because it's your fault.
