Same thing I asked YATO, even if he completely failed to actually say anything of note and instead lied several times -

If you have an issue with my application, please explain it. If you're just here to call names then I'm not here to engage with trolls.

As I've said many times, if the sourceop staff has an issue with my application, please actually say what it is.

I'm not saying what I did on sourceop should be forgotten, I'm saying that in the last four years I've displayed in three separate trading-related communities, including this one, that I am a completely different poster than then.

If you think that any of my behavior from back on SOP is bad enough that I shouldn't be helping in the community here, please, start actually bringing some proof in. Right now you're just doing shitposting worse than what I did four years ago, and it's embarrassing to see this from staff of what used to be one of the leading tf2 forums.

You can accuse me of lying all you want, I stand by my previous statements and provided SR with a summery that they can verify themselves.

No posts created after 2011. I stand by that. When you claim that there was "years of whackamole"... that's just a blatant lie. Especially when you then rage-ban my reading only, zero-post account which was made with zero deception (told you about myself, it not thinking you'd pettily overreact), and try to claim that account as ban avoidance. If you have actual proof, please post it so everyone can see. My IP address, name, Facebook and home address are all essentially public information at this point. Obviously, I can't post proof of not posting, since not posting inherently creates zero records.

Anyways, all of that is irrelevant. My application is because I am here to help the community and my efforts in the last three years, especially in the last two months, show that I am qualified.

Give me a month, double the quota of a normal moderator and full scrutiny from any staff (partner community, moderator, admin or retired staff) to end my term for a single mistake. Give admins of SR and SOP the power to request I take on any specific (aka stupid tough) reports. I'll deliver. You're clearly not going to stop being petty, and engaging with you isn't going to change that. Let me show on merit, as I have been doing here for the last two months & eleven hundred posts.

And because a couple of people got concerned enough to ask me about it - I know my request is an overstep. But when was the last time a moderator applicant spent two months doing the publicly doable (asking for evidence) side of the moderator role, just to get a foot in the door?

To quote Lava, from his application:

This post was made over a year ago. Things have only gotten worse. CS:GO has blown up. Dota has gift-only items. The rise of value and liquidity in the CS:GO market has attracted more scammers than ever. Wayne and d0 decided to try to settle their issues by spouting all over reddit, the main loser in that case being SteamRep's reputation as the inability to handle the vast number of scam reports got dragged out again and again. And through this hardship, more staff have quit or gone inactive than have been added.

His last two sentences are the ones I resonate with the most. I love this community and want it to thrive. It cannot thrive while scammers act as parasites, sucking away not just money but more importantly trust. Steamrep is the best defense we have against them, and it's not too late to turn the erosion of reputation around.

Steamrep needs new moderators, and active ones. I have shown I can do it.

That's why I made that request.

I don't know what any of your posts has regarding any of Salmon's bans or anything, but when you come onto someone's application; mock them for previous bans, issues and affiliations it just kind of makes you look terribly immature, especially when you word an "opinion" about someone in such a way that its purely there to provoke them. I believe Clive already said to stop making posts irrelevant to this application (and so did Salmon, before that. I guess this counts as irrelevant too so sorry about that). And on top of all of that, you clearly have a grudge against him for some stupid annoying reason. It kind of bugs me personally that you have to come onto someone's application, which has literally NOTHING to do with you and post a little pitiful troll message "Cribbit is Cancer".

I spend a lot of my time here lurking reports because its interesting and often times I see Salmon (or whatever his name is) posting on reports to at the very least help people, and I don't see anything wrong with him at the very least applying and it seems like that somehow offends you because of a previous fight or some ignorant crap in the past.

My point being, I don't care whether or not this application gets considered and I'm not interested in flaming or making someone out to look dumb. But I'm fairly certain that when an admin states to keep posts related to the application (and it looks more or less like it was directed to you) that's its probably time to stop obsessing over an application when you're clearly in the wrong.

But when you say that in bold text you make it look like you want to prove yourself to someone who clearly doesn't like you and doesn't want you to succeed, which instigates for him to continue responding and going on and on about whatever dumb stuff happened in the past on SourceOP or whatever (although it kind of looks like he'd do that regardless of whether or not you respond to him). If you're trying to be the one who's going to be more mature (because it seems that way to me when you tried to have him PM you if it had nothing to do with your application) then stop responding to him and save your breath.

That's just my two cents folks.

This is getting out of hand. Unless you have something pertinent to say that regards this application you need to refrain from posting here.

No vouch from a community admin. I have called him out numerous times for pretending to be staff.
I do not see this application going anywhere.

Other issues aside, the requirement for a vouch from a community admin is no longer strictly required, just recommended.

Where? I've been given one forum warning for it (which you had nothing to do with) and since you're both a moderator and openly don't like me, I'm sure that any other instance of it would have been quickly reported as well. Or are you referring to that one time I said "we" to mean the trading community at large, and you thought I was trying to use "we" as in SteamRep staff?

I don't see any frustration there. Yes, I said the f-word once when I was relatively new to SR. Why did you go that far back in my post history? While you were traversing my 1600+ posts here, did you find any other fun little things you'd like to share, or is that the only one? I'm genuinely curious, I know I've said a lot of dumb stuff while I've been here and I'm not about to go through it all myself.

I'm gonna come back from the dead for a bit and step in here, even though it isn't my place.

Remember that this is a moderator application, not a roast showing everything this person has done in the past. If what you have to say has nothing to do with this application specifically, don't say it here.
That said, I've been lurking ever since I left and I do see that Salmon actually does want to help here. Whether or not you let him is another story.
I'm gonna go back to being dead now. Don't expect much more from me.

I wasn't looking for skeletons in the closet, I just came across that post when I was trawling through unread threads. My point here, is that I'm unsure if you are able to keep your composure when under stress. I'm sure you know what ignorance is thrown around, as well as insulting language directed at staff. Also, as with any job position, you'd have to be able to work well with your colleagues. Will you be able to work out differences in order to achieve that? Food for thought.

I should have realized the post had been bumped since then, my bad.

I think I can keep my composure. Do I often jump to asking a lot of questions of people instead of explaining the issue directly? Sure, but I think that's a fair way to deal with things, especially since in this line of work it's far more valuable to let someone explain themselves than show your opinion early.

http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/appeal-76561198091608851-hot-waffles-banned-by-sr.106321/ for example is a recent time when I was incredibly frustrated with the person I was dealing with. I felt personally responsible for the victim since I was there before the dispute got cancelled and neglected to warn him that cancelling a dispute prevents a new dispute from being opened. I don't think I went overly aggressive or frustrated in attempting to question him. While I should not have posted at all (and just let an admin deal with him) I did not resort to flaming him.

http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/appeal-76561197994578328-childish-gambino-banned-by-sr.89750/ is a fun one where my lack of posting (learning from my mistake of the previous example) is how I dealt with the frustration of the case. SilentReaper is already there explaining the appeal tips. If he needs to be flamed, You Are The One is right there to fuel a torch under him. While I could re-iterate the appeal tips (I actually wrote a decently long post before deciding to not post) it wouldn't help anything for me to come in, even if I'm going into more detail on what parts of the appeal tips he needs to pay attention to.

It seems that you have been improving well on the professional front, its something many people need to work on. I commend you for that
My second point was towards your working alongside your fellow colleagues. As some of the previous posts here indicate, you'd have some differences to work out. Could you do that successfully in order to create a productive working environment?

Yep. I actually rather like You Are The One, he just doesn't like me. I don't have any issues with any of the staff here. They're all incredibly smart and dedicated to their jobs. There are some I know don't like me, who find me annoying but hide it well, but none that I dislike. The only people I dislike are scammers. The only people I take offense to are liars. I'm fine with people disagreeing with me, as long as they can show good proof for disagreeing with me.

The only issue I have with SR is that it's understaffed, causing them to not be able to handle the workload they must in order to provide the service to the community which the community needs and currently only gets through SteamRep. Controversial things like tagging sharks & people who traded with scammers hasn't turned out well in some cases, but those policies were generated with good intent.
